What is Mechatronics and its scope?

Mechatronics is relatively emerging as a new area of engineering where the synergy of Mechanical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, control engineering and systems design engineering to be done to make a world class product.

Mechatronic engineering program can work in many industries, including automobiles, manufacturing, gas and oil, mining, transport, defense, robotics, aerospace and aviation. In addition, they have a wide variety of multi-disciplinary skills that will allow them to take traditional engineering positions.

A mechatronics engineer unites the principles of mechanics, electronics, and computing to generate a simpler, more economical and reliable system.

A mecharonics engineers do the thorough study of Mechanical engineering and material science subjects, Electronics and computer engineering, System & control engineering subjects, optical engineering subjects and robotics subjects.

Where is the application of Mechatronics ? Mechatronics engineers are highly in demand in Automation, Robotics, Servo mechanics, sensing & control systems, Automotive engineering, consumer products, structural dynamics systems, biomedical systems, energy & power systems etc.

As Mechatronics engineers are equipped with all the essential knowledge of all the engineering branches , they are treated as very useful assets to the company due to their multi-skill capabilities.
