What is ISO 9001:2008 QMS ?
ISO is an International body which stands for International Organization for Standardization which regulates the standards of different type all across the globe headquarter at Geneva.
ISO 9000 is a series of standard which includes three standards – ISO 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 9004 and for certification purpose , only ISO 9001 is applicable and other two standards are reference standards.
ISO 9001:2008 QMS is a standard developed by ISO-Technical Committee-176 and accepted worldwide and today, thousand of thousands companies are certified for this standard. This is a requirement standard which does not conforms the product quality but ensure the fair practices in your products or services.
The main requirements of this standard are – Quality Policy, Quality objectives, Quality manual and processes/ Formats/ Records.
The focus of this standard is customer satisfaction and better control on your processes and functioning.
