Distance Education - History

In simple words, the distance education can be defined as " a medium of learning where you don't need to attend a regular school or college. You can learn the things at your convenient way." The concept of distance education were firstly developed in the first second quarter of 17th century by offering the shorthand learning in distance mode then Issac Pitman taught Shorthand in Britain by correspondence.

Now the same pattern is followed by many universities all across the globe and thousands of thousands students are getting benefitted by distance education. This concept open up many horizon in the education pattern and free from physical presence of students at their learning centre. At the time of help, universities are offering the contact programs or providing the help through Internet.
